If you are using a Safaricom line that requires airtime top-up this weekend (April 24 to April 25), you might as well consider applying the service early enough, else you might find yourself in crisis.
Besides, the mobile network operator has already apologised ahead of the service disruption.
Through an advert carried in the dailies titled ‘Service Upgrade’, Safaricom has notified the public of its planned systems upgrade operation that will disrupt a range of its services starting tomorrow (Saturday) 10pm.
“We will be upgrading our systems to increase our capacity in line with customer growth and to support more innovation to meet the different needs to our customers,” the statement reads.
“To allow for a smooth upgrade, a few services including SIM swap, all airtime top-up, tariff migration, and activation of new lines will be unavailable on the night of Saturday 24th April 2021 from 10pm to Sunday morning, 9am,” it continues.
