Three people, including a pupil, died on Friday morning, August 26, after a lorry rammed a school bus at Ntharene Market in South Imenti, Meru County.

The Kanyakine-bound bus was transporting learners to school when a lorry, which was heading to Nkubu, veered onto its lane, causing the accident.

Three people - two drivers and a pupil - died on the spot. More than ten learners were injured and taken to the Consolata Mission Hospital, Nkubu.

Bodies of the drivers and the pupil were moved to the hospital's morgue.
