Some 3,746 people have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample of 11,537 tested in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate is now at 32.5 per cent. The total confirmed positive cases are now 274,645 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 2,966,713.
The county distribution put Nairobi in the lead with 1,600, followed by Kiambu 344, Nakuru 236, Mombasa 160, Kakamega 127, Kajiado 113, Kericho 97, Nyeri 97, Siaya 96, Kisumu 91, Uasin Gishu 84, and Murang’a 58.
Sixty patients have recovered from Covid-19, with 59 from various health facilities and one from the Home-Based Isolation and Care programme.

The total recoveries now stand at 249,617, with 201,251 from the Home-Based Care and Isolation programme, while 48,366 are from various health facilities.
One patient has succumbed to the disease, pushing the cumulative fatalities to 5,356.
This comes as 554 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 11,329 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care programme.
Seventeen patients are in the ICU, 10 of them on ventilatory support while seven are on supplemental oxygen.
Another 101 patients are on supplemental oxygen, 97 of them are in the general wards while four patients are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
Of these, 81,292 are first doses while 124,656 are second doses and Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
On vaccination, Kenya has surpassed the previous record of vaccinating 154,887 persons in a single day that was recorded on Monday, December 20.
As of yesterday, Kenya recorded the highest number of vaccines administered on a single day at 205,948.
