Jubilee will replace Tiaty MP Asman Kamama from the powerful parliamentary National Security Committee, National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale has said.
Speaking to the press in Garissa town Sunday, Mr Duale said Mr Kamama had already agreed to the proposal.
Duale said another chair would be brought in order "to remove that element of perception".
"We want to change the chair of the committee because there are a number of issues that are being raised by the people of Baringo and North Rift in general," he said.
He added that Kamama would be asked to chair one of the other parliamentary committees.

"He is one of the hardest working chairs; a seasoned and high-ranking politician. We will ask him to chair another very important committee," said Duale. "We want a chair that does not come from the conflict area."
