A parliamentary aspirant in Nyandarua County has welcomed the move by the Jubilee Party secretariat to nominate a nine-member committee to conduct primaries.
Ndaragwa parliamentary aspirant George Gachagua said the party was determined to end cases of rigging witnessed in the past.
"We want to welcome the selection of the new team, which we believe has the ability to ensure the exercise is free and fair.
We want everybody to be either nominated or to lose fairly," he said during a party recruitment exercise in Ndaragwa town.
Gachagua will contest against current MP Waweru Ndiritu, former MP Jeremiah Kioni and the Rev Moses Ndegwa.
