The doctors' strike has caused the death of many innocent patients. Both doctors and the Government are to blame for the current impasse. The rise in industrial actions in Kenya such as that of doctors and teachers is mainly fuelled by the high salaries for the political class. An 'illiterate' MCA pocketing more than Sh400,000 monthly while graduates are paid peanuts is sickening.

All of us know that the political group pay themselves highly although Kenyans have always opposed. Two wrongs do not make a right. It will lead to a situation where all workers in Kenya would demand hefty abnormal pay rises which the economy cannot sustain.

When President Uhuru went to India, there were hopes that he could come back with ideas how to revive pharmaceutical sector. But it seems there might be no hope. Doctors should consider many factors and resume duty.
