It is make or break for Americans today as they decide who to leads the most powerful nation on earth

Americans go to the polls today to elect a President. However, the choice that they make from either Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton or the billionaire Republican candidate Donald Trump will fundamentally shape the policies and politics of United States and foreign countries for four years to come.

Both candidates exuded confidence of victory as they wound up their respective campaigns. As is tradition, candidates talked about their characters and visions for the future of the super power country in the world.

My conviction concerning the Americans is that, they will be going out to vote in large numbers for the candidate who offers optimism and has positive view of the current trends in the world.

Moreover, if negativity attributed to either candidate were anything to go by, then no voter would want to back a candidate that does not convey a sense of optimism. In negativity, they would get nothing purposeful, hence the reason to vote wisely, as they exercise their democratic right to choose, so it is make or break for Americans.

Listening to Mr Trump, he is of the view that, the Clinton presidency is the extension of President Barrack Obama administration, hence, the need for change. He is haste to add that he embodies the change the Americans are looking for.

While on her part, Mrs. Clinton, who has led Mr. Trump for the better part of the campaign period in opinion polls, says that her competitor is unelectable due to his policies and more so, the disrespect he has for women.

Traditionally, Republicans were for building early warning systems to her partner countries concerning democracy, fundamental freedom and human rights as compared to democrats’ laid back demeanor.

United States is the world’s strongest country and therefore has the responsibility to keep the peace in Middle East, protect her strategic partners like Israel against aggression as well as the rest of the world. America has to lead the war against terrorism by embracing diplomacy before anything else.

America should lead the war against global warming orchestrated by carbon emissions and have anti-ballistic missile systems for a certain future in the world. All these are dependent on a man or woman elected in the White House. All the measures are inevitable in terms of rogue states in the world, for example North Korea. It is hopeful that the incoming president will create jobs for Americans, build stronger economy, and reduce crime rates between blacks and whites among others.

May the Americans choose the man or woman they deserve to be their leader.
