ELDORET: The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) is advancing plans to sue President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto over the Eurobond saga.
CORD Co-Principal Moses Wetang’ula Sunday disclosed the opposition will move to court challenge the government to furnish Kenyans with how the Sh253 billion were spend.
He noted that while the opposition is challenging the government to explain how the Eurobond proceeds were spend, the Jubilee administration was quashing the outcry and only dismissed the Opposition terming their calls as mere noise making.
Wetang’ula challenged the two principals to the impact of such noise by finding out from former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru who stepped down following serious allegations linking her to the loss of Sh 791 million in the NYS scandal.
He wondered where the DP gets money to dish out to people who visit his Sugoi home in Eldoret in what he alleged to be a buyout scheme targeting to marshal support for JAP through unwarranted means.

"If he (Ruto) uses Sh100 million every weekend, where does he get all that money from? He is not clever than Weta and we are going to sue them if they do not explain where the Eurobond money was used," he said.
Wetang’ula who is also the Bungoma senator and Ford Kenya Party Leader said this during a prayer rally at Kitale Posta grounds shortly after holding lengthy talks with party officials from the region.
He poked holes at the jubilee administration accusing it of promoting ethnicity, corruption and failing to handle runway insecurity in the country.
Wetang’ula observed that the opposition will oust the current government in the 2017 general elections basing on the three solid grounds that he alleged the jubilee administration had failed to handle.
He questioned the recent appointments in which 24 Principal Secretaries were picked wondering why 10 of them were from the President's community and six from that of his deputy leaving out a paltry positions for the rest of the communities.
He also faulted the replacements of Waiguru and NYS director Mr. Githinji noting that it was not mandatory for the President to overlook all other communities including the minority like Ogiek in favor of particular ones.
Wetang’ula said unless the IEBC provides enough voter registration kits then Kenyans will have no doubt that the elections body is in a pre-rigging scheme.
"IEBC must bring enough registration kits or else we shall know that they are in a pre-rigging scheme," he said.
He further disclosed the opposition was kin in matters pertaining the judiciary as it ascertains the motive behind the inquest into bribery claims regarding Supreme Court judge Philip Tunoi.
The CORD co-principal was accompanied by a couple MPs and MCAs in the rally also attended by area governor Patrick Khaemba and senator Henry Ole Ndiema.
