Embu, Kenya: A new notice to impeach Governor Martin Wambora was Tuesday formally tabled before the Embu County Assembly despite his efforts to initiate reconciliation talks with Assembly Speaker.
Governor Wambora who was reinstated by the High Court five days ago held talks with Speaker Justus Mate aiming to end the cycle of impeachment that started in January.
In his response after Wambora’s reinstatement last week, Mate noted that the court’s ruling did not absolve the Governor of corruption and abuse of office charges that led his impeachment.
