robbed Regina Ayetsa of Sh2,500 and a comb worth Sh200

Two men have been fined Sh1 million by a Kakamega court for robbery with violence. The two allegedly robbed Regina Ayetsa of Sh2,500 and a comb worth Sh200 on May 16.

Derrick Khakoya and Simon Luseno reportedly also robbed Nancy Timona of Sh20,000 and a Techno phone worth Sh2,000. They are also said to have violently robbed John Shisia of Sh1,200 and a Nokia phone valued at Sh2,500.

They are also charged of robbing Evans Imbali of a Techno phone in the same location.

The accused reportedly threatened to harm their victims and were armed with a panga, rungu and torch during the robberies.

Police on patrol got a tip off and laid an ambush that led to their arrest.

The accused denied the charges. The case will be heard on June 11.
