NAIROBI, KENYA: The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) has pledged to support the government in embracing the adoption and use of technology in the fight against crime to improve security in the country and compliment other initiatives by the government in tackling insecurity.

The meeting held on Sunday between KEPSA and the Cabinet Secretary of Interior and Coordination of National Government, Mr. Joseph ole Lenku was expected to feed into the Presidential Roundtable scheduled for May at which the President and his cabinet will review progress with KEPSA on key areas of interest aimed at strengthening the business environment. KEPSA was represented by its directors led by Chairman, Mr. Vimal Shah and members of its sector boards. 

The meeting deliberated on practical solutions that will ensure an effective and robust response to insecurity which is impacting adversely on the business environment. 

Mr Lenku reiterated that the government was keen to work with the Private Sector and leverage on their knowledge and resources to find innovative solutions and responses to combat insecurity.

The Cabinet Secretary regained the confidence of the business community after he explained the range of security measures the government was undertaking to improve the security situation.

KEPSA committed to having regular engagement with all security organs to discuss and meet gaps that will give more confidence to business and public and asked the public to support the government initiatives and lend a hand.
