The captivating Kenyan series was released on January 31, 2025, and has been generating a lot of buzz from netizens.
The series tells the story of a wealthy and powerful billionaire who dies after a relentless pursuit of wealth and power. He leaves behind his picture-perfect family, but his death exposes the true colours of the Njenga family.
The film delves into a complicated web of secrets, lies, betrayal, and dark family ties surrounding his mysterious death. Billionaire Joe Njenga dies under puzzling circumstances and the mystery of who killed him and why lingers throughout the series. Mr Joe Njenga had it all, but his will reveals a shocking twist that threatens to push the Njenga family to the brink.
Following his death, his daughter Kate harbours resentment, as he had conflicting reactions towards her lover when he was alive. This resentment leads her to struggle with conflicted emotions and face a dilemma. Played by Amara Tari, she is torn between her love for her family and her quest for justice.
Georgina, the billionaire’s wife, also has skeletons in her closet. She is drawn into extramarital affairs and deceit, but her secrets eventually come to light. Fearing she will lose her family and marriage, and burdened by mounting secrets, Georgina is forced to choose between self-preservation and loyalty to her family. She is played by award-winning actress and musician Sanaipei Tande.
Joe Njenga’s illegitimate son, Christian, is unexpectedly pulled into the family drama. Played by Morris Mwangi, he is a cold-blooded killer searching for his real parents.
