What celebrities hate about their fellow stars

Giving a hint as to why irreconcilable differences led to their split, celebrated singer Marya, she of the Chokoza fame, now says her former beau Moustapha is a stubborn man.

“He is too boastful and proud. Everything must always go his way,” she says, which is one thing she hates about him.

And in this love/hate scenario, Marya is not alone. You will be shocked to hear what Size 8 thinks of Bahati and what Khaligraph thinks of his fellow rapper Collo. If you thought you were cool with everyone out there, take a deep breath, this could leave you winded.

What Bahati thinks of...

Willy Paul: He is the weirdest and most stubborn person I have ever met. The guy can just start shouting for the heck of it in the weirdest of places, more like a possessed person.

DK Kwenye Beat: DK can hit you up with a text in the middle of the day to tell you how he is just counting money in his living room. Talk of his luxury possessions must always find a way into conversation.

Size 8: Size 8 is quite the mother who lectures you about everything. She can sit you down and preach to you about everything in life.

She is that almost overbearing and concerned mother figure. We try to take it in kind but it gets tiring sometimes.

Hopekid: This guy is the stingiest. He always seems to miraculously get a call when the bill comes. And it’s not that he is even broke. Like really, Hopekid, what do you do with your money?

Wyre: Wyre is a clean hearted guy. He is a straight shooter. He tells you exactly how things are. He is also quite accessible and always has time to listen and advise you accordingly. His humility is simply amazing.

What Avril thinks of...

Rabbit: I first met him during the Chaguo La Teeniez Awards. He was real calm, collected and approachable. Despite his level of success, he is really down-to-earth and really cool with everyone.

Shaffie: In any kind of meeting, official or non-official, Shaffie comes off as really convincing. He can get you to do anything.

Wyre: He stays true to his moniker, the love child. The fact that he has managed to keep his private life private after all these years, makes him admirable. He is such a sweetheart.

Huddah: If I want to go out and let off some steam, I call Huddah. She is one of my closest friends. I do not agree with all the stuff going round about her and what people are saying, she is a really cool friend and I think people have the right to let loose once in a while.

What Khaligraph thinks of...

Collo: He has one too many pieces of advice. When you meet up with him, the conversation always seems to go like; “Don’t do this, do this, interact with these types of people, here is what you do to make it.” That’s Collo for you.

Juliani: He is the most real and down-to-earth celebrity I have met so far. He doesn’t come off as arrogant and a know-it-all, as someone who has achieved his level of success would. He engages and blends into a conversation like you have known each other for years.

Kristoff: This ni**a is too proud. You can even tell from his rhymes. He is just full of himself.

Eric Omondi: I don’t know where this guy and Dennis Oliech get all those fly girls from. This guy is the ultimate smooth talker. Girls cannot resist him.

Abbas: He is the most reliable guy. When you need help with something, he will come through regardless whether there is real money in it or not. He understands the struggles that artistes who have not yet attained a certain level of success go through and always lends his support whenever he can.

Gabu: The guy drinks too much.

What Size 8 thinks of...

Wyre: This guy doesn’t raise his voice ever. Those little quarrels artistes have backstage during shows don’t entangle him. He can perform anytime, anywhere. Even in the most difficult of circumstances, that rub the rest of us the wrong way, he will just go with the flow.

Lady B: You will never run out of things to talk about whenever she is around. She always keeps conversations running.

Willy Paul: Willy is very outgoing and adventurous... always trying out something new.

Bahati: He is a know-it-all kid. He will sit you down and start advising you, even on things you don’t need to hear. If you don’t want a day’s lecture, run away from Bahati.

Jaguar: Together with Ringtone, Jaguar is one of the most connected people I know in the industry. Whatever you want, he always seems to know who to call.

Ken T (MOG): You will find yourself on the floor laughing yourself silly when you sit next to Ken T. He is extremely funny. My husband (DJ Mo) falls in this category as well.

What Kristoff thinks of...

Redsan: Redsan is just Mr Perfect. His life and whole being seems to be perfect and flawless.

Big Pin: Loud mouth, drunkard and boastful... That’s the best way I can describe Big Pin. If you go out drinking with him and he gets really high, your night will be long.

Avril: She is the most humble celebrity I have ever met. She is sweet.

Amani: You never run out of things to say when you’re with her. She is easily approachable and down to earth as well.

Frasha: He is the ultimate comedian. You won’t stop laughing from his countless jokes.

What Ole Willy thinks of...

Ringtone: I think getting to that level of success with that kind of money, coming from his background, still surprises him. He always seems to make reference to his material possessions to make a point about anything.

Rufftone: You can call Ruff about something and he takes over the conversation even before you introduce the topic. He talks too much. He has the excitement and pride of a real Luhya man.

Daddy Owen: He is quite generous. I remember once over Christmas I was totally broke with post-dated cheques in my hand, so my holiday was going to be on a budget. I mentioned my situation not expecting him to do anything about it. Next thing I knew I had received an M-pesa message. He had sent me Sh50, 000.

Jaguar: He lives up to his philanthropic image. He is extremely generous and is also quite approachable and friendly. Whenever he comes to Eldoret, he makes sure to give me a call.

What Marya thinks of...

Moustapha: He is very boastful and full of pride. You have to do things his way or you have no deal.

Juliani: After performing, Juliani goes to his room and locks himself up. All the other arrangements like after party and all, you better count him out. He won’t show up. He is an introvert.

P-Unit (The whole crew): If you want to party, call any of them. They live for nightlife.

Size 8: She is very talkative. She will start, contribute to and conclude the story.

What Mejja thinks of...

Kora: He gives the best of beats to any newcomer. He is generous like that. On my birthday, he brought me a bottle of expensive whisky - I can’t even spell the name - while other revellers came holding bottles of Bluemoon.

Prezzo: A lot of people don’t know this but Prezzo is quite the comedian. You can hang around him the whole day. The jokes keep coming.

Noni Gathoni: On our flight to Mombasa for the Miss Tourism event last year, I was concerned that we would have nothing to talk about. I was wrong. She is quite sweet and engaging. We have been friends since.

Madtraxx: You would expect someone from a well-off background not to interact with someone like me very easily, but not this guy. He is the most down-to-earth person I know.

Lenana Kariba: He is Kora’s brother so we hang out a lot. You wouldn’t want to have your chick near him at any point. This guy gets every chick he vibes.

What Shikow Femi One thinks of...

Kristoff: I have met him once. Let’s just say he is interesting. He is quite the charmer.

Rabbit: We once went to a children’s home and I was humbled to see him pull his sleeves up to wash blankets, dishes among other manual duties. That really amazed me.
