The eleventh edition of Groove Awards nomination night held at the Kenya national theatre brought together gospel artistes to nominate those who have released impactful songs over the last one year.
Singer Daddy Owen was the man of the night as he bagged nomination in 5 categories. The biggest of them all was his nomination in Male of the Year Award category.
His song Vanity was nominated in the Afro-Pop Song of the Year category and his music album with the same title was nominated in the Album of the Year Award category.
The newly wed who also read out the list of nominees in one of the categories was also nominated in the Video of the Award Category and also in the Song of The Year Award category for the same song Vanity.
Last year’s biggest winner and nominee and Groove Awards Male Artiste of the Year Bahati, missed out on all the categories and did not also attend the event.
