Nyanza Region rugby 15s champions Kisii School reminded their rivals that they are still the team to beat after edging out newly crowned Kisumu County champions Nyabondo High School 17-7 yesterday in Migori.

Former champions St Mary's School Yala at the same time hammered Cardinal Otunga from Kisii 35-5 to send a statement in Group B.
"We are taking it a game at a time this year. We know our quality and our goal remains the same, to get to the finals," said George Kerima, Yala rugby coach.
Other results saw Agoro Sare edge Anjego 12-8 while Rapogi pulled a 6-5 comeback win over Gekano.
