Kabras Sugar, the reigning Kenya Cup champions, will be seeking to maintain their dominance as they kick off their 2025 campaign with a clash against Strathmore Leos at the Strathmore Sports Complex on Saturday.
The millers have scored a whopping 215 points in three matches following their 33-6, 45-3 and 137-7 wins over Impala, South Coast Pirates and Kisumu RFC respectively.
Sitting comfortably at the summit of the table, the millers will look to start the new year with a statement victory as the Kenya Cup resumes after a festive break.
The much-anticipated return of Kenya’s premier rugby league promises excitement, with Match Day Four featuring some high-stakes clashes.
Leading the lineup is the iconic Ngong Road derby, where Kenya Harlequin, currently fourth on the log, host their bitter rivals Impala RFC at the RFUEA Grounds.

This will be the first derby since Impala’s promotion from the Championship, and both teams are keen to assert their dominance. Quins aim to consolidate their top-four position, while Impala will seek to prove they belong back in the big league.
Adding to the derby drama, second-placed KCB Rugby will lock horns with Mwamba RFC in the second match of the RFUEA double-header. The bankers, chasing Kabras at the top of the table, are determined to continue their fine form, but Mwamba will fight tooth and nail to secure their first win of the season.
Elsewhere, Nakuru City will host the Rift Valley derby as Nakuru RFC welcomes Menengai Oilers at the Nakuru Athletics Club.
Down at the Kisumu ASK Showground, Kisumu RFC and South Coast Pirates will battle in a bottom-of-the-table clash as both teams aim to revive their relegation survival hopes.
Mid-table action sees Blak Blad hosting Nondescripts at the Blad Bin, where both sides seek to improve their positions in the standings.
