Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has commended President William Ruto for engaging former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, describing the move as vital for national cohesion.
Speaking during Jamhuri Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi on Thursday, December 12, the DP noted the importance of involving political and religious leaders in fostering unity.
He urged all Kenyans to work together for the country's progress.
"We applaud you for recognising that Kenya's progress will be faster with unity. Thank you for bringing as many stakeholders as possible to the table to move in one direction," said Kindiki.
Addressing his first Jamhuri Day celebrations as Deputy President, Kindiki praised Ruto's outreach efforts, particularly his engagement with Kenyatta and Odinga, as essential steps in creating an inclusive government.
