Pulse: What sets your style apart?
Pendo Honey: My style is chic and edgy with a bit of a tomboyish twist to it, sometimes.
P: The best thing about being petite is that...
PH: You can wear anything short and skimpy without drawing too much attention from the public.
P: You get an instant energy boost when you wear...
PH: My high-waist pants because they accentuate my petite frame, which I’m in love with.
P: What would you wear to an exclusive pool party?
PH: That would be a bright-coloured, sheer chiffon dress with a bikini.
P: Long or short hair?
PH: Long hair, definitely. It makes me feel feminine and it gives me many options to style it.
P: The last time you went shopping you spent...
PH: I spent Sh70,000 on my Brazilian hair (laughing).
P: What do you define as good makeup?
PH: Good makeup is flawless with a red matte lipstick. That nails it for me.
P: On an ordinary day to work you would be caught wearing...
PH: Something causal but smart and trendy.
P: The craziest look that you would try out given the chance?
PH: I would pull off a completely see-through nude lace dress but that’s if Kenya was like Hollywood. I would wear that to a red carpet event.
P: If you were to pick between weaves, wigs or extensions, which one would it be?
PH: Wigs definitely because I can pull off different looks every day without getting bored with one hair style.
P: Your all-time favourite accessory is?
PH: You can never find me without a watch. Time is money (laughing).
P: A day in the salon is never complete without...
PH: Tweezing my eyebrows, manicure and pedicure. I believe a lady should be well-groomed from head to toe. It’s not all about the hair. It’s the whole package.
