Ten months is how long Nairobi county reps have been waiting for iPads. The MCAs have grown impatient and are now demanding for the immediate delivery of the gadgets.
Members have asked Speaker Alex ole Magelo to shed light on the fate of the gadgets that were to be procured mid last year.
“We want clarification whether we are still waiting for the procurement of the iPads,” demanded MCA Peter Imwatok.
Magelo said the process of acquiring the iPads is at the final stages. Sh7.8 million was approved for the gadgets for the 127 MCAs in the 2014/15 budget in June 2014. The move was intended to cut the cost of paperwork to enable MCAs access motions, reports and other documents on their iPads.
