Parents told to get involved in their children's education

Parents have been told to be actively involved in their children’s education by attending academic meetings. 

Speaking at Matulo Girls High School,  Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama said this would help them understand their roles and boost learners’ morale. 

Webuye West Sub-county Education Director James Tsuma urged students to be courageous despite educational challenges. 

“Nobody should tell you that you are inferior or a girl; confidence to face life is what makes us stand out. I can see you talking about a mean of 7.2, I am asking you how scientific is this figure? The principal is the producer, teachers are script writer, the actors are you and the play will win on stage.”

School principal Judith Wamocho assured parents and stakeholders of impressive results in the upcoming national examinations, urging them to collaborate. 

“We have launched our target. It represents our collective ambition, our determination to improve and we believe in the potential of every learner. Achieving this target will require teamwork, discipline, and resilience. As a school, we remain committed to providing a conducive learning environment and nurturing holistic development.”
