At first, it could strike you that the Honorable Women representative of Machakos county Dr. Susan Musyoka is a relation to the Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka; and guess what, that is right.
Politically, the two are related as they are all Wiper Party movers, in fact, Dr. Susan Musyoka is the Wiper party representative in Machakos county.
Having been born on 30th October 1956, she attended Matungulu Primary school before later joining Nakuru Girls High School for her O'level schooling.
She is a degree holder in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi and an international Master’s degree in Public Health from Leeds University.
Before joining active politics, she has garnered a recommendable over 20 years’ experience in the medical department having served at Machakos General Hospital, Embu Hospital, practiced Medicine at MMC Machakos Medical Clinic (Private Practice) and was one of Kenya Medical Women Association (KMWA) founder members and served as the Eastern region representative of the same association.
She was elected the Machakos County Women representative in 2013 under the Wiper Democratic Movement and sits in the steering committee of the parliamentary house business committee as a member.
She has declared her mission as to see women, persons with disabilities, the youth, marginalized groups recognized and empowered economically as well as politically her mission statement being:
"I advocate for more women, youth, persons with disabilities be included at all levels of decision making and development. I would like to see a Country that respects the rule of law and involves all people especially women in all leadership activities."
