When there is an assassination attempt on US President Allan Trumbull, his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning, is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. After escaping from capture, he must evade his own agency, outsmart the FBI and find the real threat. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm and save the country from imminent danger.

Thumbs up:

It is good as a last of a trilogy of good action movies. The storyline is believable and shows how easy it would be to frame someone for something they didn’t do. The pacing was good and it had some exciting action scenes with cool camera angles or C.G.I. An underrated popcorn movie for sure.

Thumbs down:

If you enjoyed the previous two movies (Olympus has Fallen and London has Fallen) this movie follows the same simple formula, but it’s a very nice third movie. Don’t go in expecting a deep story, some actors just scream ‘bad guy’ straight away and make everything predictable. Go in just to enjoy the nice combat scenes and fast-paced action.

Verdict:

You won’t be exactly intellectually stimulated, but you won’t be bored either.
