Police officers spend months training on how to protect Kenyans and their property.
They run towards danger when everyone is feeling from it and at times end up paying the ultimate price.
But perhaps what the instructors never prepare them for is the poor working and living conditions they will encounter once they pass out and are deployed.
These pictures show the conditions that officers at Manga Police Station in Borabu, Nyamira County work under.
The station is one and a half kilometres away from Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matingi’s home.
The police officers manning Dr Matiangi’s home are attached to this police station.
