Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has lashed out at The Star Newspaper for publishing a story ‘Sonko and Igathe fall out as statehouse takes charge of City Hall’ hinting that he and Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe are not in good terms.
Mike Sonko took to his twitter handle and shared WhatsApp screenshots of conversations between himself and his Deputy to prove that they are not having a fall out.
“Looking at the attached texts and WhatsApp conversations does it look like we are falling apart?” Said the Nairobi governor after posting a screenshot of the conversations.

I’m feeling major secondhand embarrassment reading those Sonko screenshots.
Why is the Nairobi governor sharing private conversations on social media?
Why is Igathe grovelling?

My only question is this: the publicly known secret of the frosty relationship between Governor Sonko and the Administrative Governor Igathe, How will it affects the Nairobi county? Will we start an abrasive Sonko? Time will tell.— PAUL OTIENO ONYANGO (@JAKADAWA) December 14, 2017
