CCM’s Isaac Ruto shifts allegiance to Jubilee

Just days after losing the Bomet Gubernatorial seat to Jubilee Party’s Joyce Laboso, it now looks like Chama Cha Mashinani head Isaac Ruto has joined Jubilee.

The former Bomet governor had earlier in the week said that he was never contacted by any Jubilee person about joining them and was lying low before he decided what was best.

He had also assured Kenyans that he was in NASA to stay saying, “I am in NASA to stay. I have decided to maintain a low profile to allow Bomet people to settle. I know the election was marred with a lot of irregularities since Government machinery was used to intimidate my supporters.”

Ruto has been spotted in Kapkatet receiving President Uhuru Kenyatta, where the President has taken his campaigns as he prepares for the repeat election slated for October 17th 2017.

Political pundits have argued that Isaac Ruto failed to deliver for the National Super Alliance while he was a Co-principal, losing by a massive margin to Laboso.

He was one of the five NASA principals, promised a position in government had NASA won the August 8th election.
