The alleged ‘fake’ certificate scandal involving Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho takes a new twist a few days after he was grilled by the detectives concerning the same.

For the last three days, Kenyans have been seeking information from the internet to ascertain president Uhuru's academic qualification especially from the university where he studied in the US.

Google search has shown that a good number of Kenyans searched more about Uhuru’s academic information from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts-based in the United States.

The users categorically wanted to know his results some even tweeted to the institution to ask if Uhuru Kenyatta was really a student there, his academic details while in the institution and his graduation photos.

Amherst College in Amherst was happy to inform them that the President was their student from 1981 to 1985 and graduated with a degree in political science and economics.

However, the university declined to disclose personal details of President Uhuru saying that they are not allowed to disclose personal details of their former students terming it as personal.

It also emerged that President Uhuru’s name appears in 1985’ the college’s official yearbook which highlights key academic and sporting accomplishments during that academic.

It also contained the roll of students who graduated in that year together with Uhuru.

Donald Loring Brown who started university education in his late 40s at Amherst, earlier on said that he knew Mr. Uhuru as part of the group of black students who kept to themselves most of the time.

Meanwhile, the Raila Odinga has warned the Government against harassing Joho saying if they continue with the same he will be forced to act.He added that it was wrong to threaten Joho because of his political stand.
