Edda is not the first person to find herself in the complicated circumstances of what has become a norm in the society today- love triangles. For starters a love triangle is a romantic relationship that involves three individuals who find themselves woven together in a relationship. Of course, there is at least one party who holds the strings in their hands.
The first rule of love relationship is: never get caught. The aware party must ensure that two individual are as ignorant about the existence of the other as possible. This begins from the way contacts are saved and when to reverse the roles. Someone must be careful with the pictures they post whether in social media or save in the smartphone gallery. He/she must also be a good liar with a sharp memory. Your lies of course have to check out always.
Ladies can successfully sustain a love-triangle for an eternity. This is because they are proficient with the art of persuasion and deception; no offence. Discovery is dreaded and when matters are almost getting out of hand, one or both individual on the receiving end have to be duped or dumped. Although it can be exhausting, a love-triangle is considered one of the ways of “having it all” in terms of relationships. One is tall and handsome, the other is loaded.
However, not all love-triangles end well. In the case of Edda, there were fatal consequences when an aggrieved party pulled the trigger at a close range. This makes me wonder who the real villain in the whole situation was. It would have been reasonable to blame the person who was aware of the state of the relationship, than an “innocent” party who is as clueless as you have been. This irrationality is sometimes intended to “eliminate” competition. In most cases it does not end well.
In a summary, love-triangles are unnecessary calculations that mostly end tragically. When it involves married people it even becomes more dangerous. In the case mentioned the deceased left a widow and orphans because of the encounter he thought harmless. It has also left another man with blood on his hand and a woman with a guilt she is will carry all her life.
