In October 2019, Travelog joined other African influencers on a trip to Capetown courtesy of Google. Our navigation (hotel and destination bookings included) was pegged on three Google applications: Maps, Translate and Lens. We share the resultant itinerary that you can mimic.
Day Zero: Check in to your hotel.
Day One: BO-KAAP and CBD TOUR.
Morning: Visit the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood by foot while also gaining insight into the district's vivid history, culture and scenery on this walking tour.
You will get an overview of Bo-Kaap's best-known landmarks, including the colourful houses, hidden places to find local beers, multiple mosques and historical restaurants and shops.
Other places of interest include but not limited to - the Auwal Mosque, Bo-Kaap Museum, and Monkeybiz Boutique.
Noon: Transfer to Signal Hill for Noon Day Gun.
Ever since 1806, a shot has been fired from a cannon at noon as a time signal. This is Cape Town's oldest lasting tradition and you can visit the site to watch the process of shooting the gun, learn about its history and gaze out at the views of the city.
For lunch, opt for a perched restaurant to enjoy the CBD.
Afternoon: Table Mountain Cable Car Transfer.
Table Mountain was inaugurated as one of the world's New 7 Wonders of Nature in 2012.
Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has something for everyone, which is why it has attracted more than 25-million visitors since its opening in 1929.

Night: Interactive dinner. Transfer to Atlantic Studios.
Play and cook in the incredible space where South African TV show, Kokkedoor, is filmed. With 10 fully-equipped cooking stations.
Day Three: Winelands Full-Day Tour.
With its vast expanse of vineyards set against a backdrop of sloping green mountains and startling blue sky, the Cape Winelands are one of Africa’s most enchanting landscapes, and a visit is as much about the gorgeous scenery as the wine itself.
Whether you're a seasoned sommelier or a wine novice just looking for a relaxing fun day out with other people then this scheduled group tour is perfect for you.
If you can afford the time, attempt to experience the three oldest regions in the Cape Winelands. Begin your day in Stellenbosch, followed by a visit to Franschhoek. Last but certainly not least, your final visit of the day will be in Paarl.
In our case, we concentrated our tour to Stellenbosch, the wine tasting 'capital' where we blended our own wine at Middelvlei Wine Estate, travel to Spier Wine Estate for a pairing session and lunch before concluding the tour with a familiar name-Nederburg.
There we were introduced to the Nederburg history, toured the cellars and Manor House, as well as tasted five premium and ultra-premium wines in the tasting room.
Judgment Day: Check out and transfers to CPT International Airport.
