When you're staying in a hotel room, it can be tempting to take some of those luxurious little extras such as toiletries, notepads and slippers. There are some unofficial rules on what you can take from hotels - but it turns out that some people can be quite shameless in what they deem acceptable to take.
We're not talking an extra soap or laundry bag - we're talking everything from the bedding to a grand piano.
Danish travel firm Wellness Heaven surveyed 1,157 hoteliers from around the world to determine just what gets taken from hotel rooms the most - and there are some items on the list that show just how brazen some guests can be.
Top of the list? Towels. Yes, those hotel towels can be fluffy and cosy, but they're costly to replace so it's no surprise that most hotels will charge you if yours goes missing.
Second, on the list - we imagine for similar reasons - were the bathrobes, while hangers took the third spot.
Now there were some common items on the list which are generally accepted as acceptable to take, for example, the notepads and pens to be found or cosmetics (assuming these are toiletries)
However, some guests have pushed the limits with commonly stolen items also including artwork, batteries from the remote and even the bedding.
Wellness Heaven also uncovered some items which, although not commonly stolen, have been reported as missing by hotels.
This included a grand piano, sauna benches, room door numbers and even a spa stereo system. Let's be honest, these items definitely count as full-on theft - very different to taking the little hand soap you've already used that the hotel will need to throw out when you leave anyway.
Here’s a list of items most commonly stolen from hotel rooms:
Towels
Bathrobes
Hangers
Pens
