Champions Kenya Prisons intend to sign celebrated setter Janet Wanja for the African Clubs Championship in Nairobi in April.
Head coach David Lung’aho said they opted to go for Wanja after they failed to secure the signature of Rose Magoi.

Magoi is the captain of national junior team and former player of Cheptil High School, which she left last year.
"We have plans to include Wanja in our line up for the Clubs Championship but the player is yet to talk to us," he said.
Wanja, who also plays for the national team, has resigned from Kenya Pipeline and she is said to be out of the country.
Lung’aho expressed optimism that Prisons will retain the trophy they clinched on their continental debut last year.
He said the arrival of hard-hitting Everline Makuto from Lugulu Girls would strengthen the attack with blockers Diana Khisa and Bracksides Agala ruled out of the team.
Khisa is on maternity leave while Agala is on a professional contract in Turkey.
Lung’aho said: "We’re likely not to have Agala in the team as her return date has not been confirmed."
"Khisa and Agala are great players who any coach would wish not to miss in an international competition but all the same I have confidence in the current squad," he said.
Lung’aho, however, said Kenyan teams are likely to face tough challenge especially from North and West African teams.
National champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and former continental ‘Queens’ Pipeline are the other local teams to play at the Championship.
Lung’aho said: "Home advantage don’t count much and so all our teams should be ready to face real challenge."
