Businessman cum politician Jimmy Wanjigi arrived at Nairobi regional police headquarters on Monday, August 19, 2024 following a summon he got from the regional DCI to attend a grilling over his link to funding Genz`s protest in the city.[Collins Kweyu, Standard]

Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has been detained at the Kamukunji police station, shortly after appearing before the Regional Investigation Officer at the Nairobi area police station.

Wanjigi had been summoned in connection with a vehicle found parked outside his gate on August 8, 2024, where the police found teargas canisters, mobile phones, and assorted charges among other things.
