Tea Board of Kenya has appointed Willy Mutai (pictured) as the new Chief Executive Officer to replace Peris Mudida, who has been at the helm in an acting capacity.

The board chaired by Jacob Kahiu appointed Mutai to run the organisation with effect from November 23.

Mutai has been a technical manager at the Board, and formerly a Tea Services assistant at KTDA.

Mudida formerly served as Tea directorate at the Agriculture Food Authority (AFA), before she was seconded to the board in 2020.

Mt Kenya region board representative Charles Kirigwi described Muta as a dedicated person.
