Defending champions Kabras Sugar continued with their Kenya Cup dominance on Saturday after thrashing Catholic Monks 78-0 at the Moi Kakamega Showgrounds in Kakamega.

Kenya Sevens star Lameck Ambetsa and Kenya Simbas winger Derrick Ashiundu each bagged a brace as the sugar men solidified their top spot in the 12-team standings.

Jeanson Musoga scored the game's first try to lead 5-0 after Ntabeni Dukisa kicked wide the conversion.

Ambetsa went over the whitewash for his first try and Kabras’ second to stretch the lead to 12-0, this time albeit Dukisa’s conversion.

The former Masinde Muliro University winger returned again to the score sheet to make it 17-0. Dukisa missed the twos again.

Kabras captain Eugene Sifuna got in on the fun to take the scores to 24-0 before Shujaa scrum half Brian Tanga made it 31-0 at half time after Dukisa’s conversions.

In the final half, a penalty try gifted Kabras easy seven points to lead 38-0 before David Bunduki shot his way through the Monks defense line to score and take the lead to 45-0 after Dukisa’s conversion.

Ashiundu would then grab a quick brace for a 57-0 lead Shitambasi, Walter Okoth and William Mwanji sealed the win for Kabras.
