Bradley Marongo aka Gen Z Goliath has been in the news for the past few weeks due to his physique and has landed a few deals.

However, his mother Monica Marongo recently claimed that he no longer picks up her calls and failed to meet her when she visited Nairobi a week ago.

In an interview, Bradley's mum claimed her son had been consumed by the city life and the attention he has been getting, to the point that he has neglected his family.

"Bradley no longer picks up my calls and is very busy with his managers. We talked on Monday last week but we differed on several issues.

"His managers do not want him to talk to me or give me anything. I was in Nairobi but Bradley never visited me. I was told he was given a house and three months' rent," she claimed.

She added that she does not have a house and when she enquired about the deals her son had been signing, they had a disagreement.

"Once I get a place to call home I will not bother them anymore. I am the one who suffered when Bradley was growing up," she said.

A man who claimed to be Marongo's uncle said they underwent hardship together and urged him to remember his family.

"You have started making money so be wise and help your people. Remember where you have come from and do not forget your mother.

"Ensure you build a house for your mother...make sure she is comfortable. We know you are capable," he said.

Our efforts to reach out to Bradley and his manager to respond to the allegations did not bear fruit.

Jalang'o advises Bradley Mtall to make the most of his newfound fame

Last week, Comedian-turned-politician Felix Oduor, popularly known as Jalang'o, offered advice to Bradley encouraging him to seize opportunities while his newfound popularity is still fresh.

In an interview on the Iko Nini Podcast, Jalang'o expressed his happiness for Bradley's success but stressed the importance of securing long-term contracts to ensure his future prosperity.

"Bradley, the Gen Z Goliath, was in the right place at the right time, and God's timing allowed him to be noticed during the protests. This is a guy who was living his normal life, and now all these brands are after him.

"Right now, he's endorsed by a car company, a barbershop, and Bata. But I hope those managing his brand can secure more sustainable contracts. We don't want to see Bradley back on the streets. He needs to understand how big his brand is and make sure he's making money. Any deal that comes his way, he should take," Jalang'o added.
