Four people were killed on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Ndarugo area in Juja along the Thika superhighway.

The accident occurred after a personal car rammed into a trailer at Ndarugo area prompting the driver to get out and assess the damage.

According to police reports, the initial crash occurred when a Nissan Wing Road rammed into the rear of a trailer ferrying industrial material to a factory in Thika.

The impact prompted both drivers to stop and step out to assess the damage.

As they inspected the scene they were joined by two onlookers, suddenly, a speeding Nissan Vannett smashed into the group, pinning them against the trailer.

The drivers of the personal vehicles and the two onlookers died on the spot.

The bodies were transferred to General Kago Mortuary in Thika, where they now await postmortem examinations.

Three of the deceased have been identified, while one remains unidentified.
