Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has called on leaders in the Mt Kenya region to prioritise development over political disputes.
At the centenary celebrations of Our Lady of Sorrows Baricho Catholic Church in Ndia, Kirinyaga on Sunday, September 15, Waiguru said, “I urge our leaders to support each other’s good work instead of undermining and derailing development for selfish interests.”
She reaffirmed her commitment to transformative development in the county.
During the event, which was attended by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Waiguru presented Sh 2 million donated by President William Ruto to the church.
Gachagua urged residents to support current political efforts and government initiatives.
