Daddy Owen spills details on Charlene Ruto's visit to Kakamega

Renowned gospel singer Daddy Owen, also known as Owen Mwatia, has set tongues wagging with the recent unveiling of photos showcasing President William Ruto's daughter, Charlene Ruto, visiting his mother in Kakamega. The nature of their relationship has been shrouded in mystery, leaving Kenyans curious and eager for answers.

Despite widespread reports a few days ago about Charlene's visit, Daddy Owen remained tight-lipped on the subject. However, on January 2, 2024, he finally shared several photos from Charlene's visit to Eshieywe while reflecting on his 2023 highlights.

"2023 was a remarkable year! I thank GOD! Among the many highlights, the climax occurred at the tail end of the year when Charlene Ruto visited my home in Eshieywe, a.k.a Kakamega," Daddy Owen shared.

The award-winning singer went on to recount the details of that particular day, describing the celebration with songs, dance, and traditional Isikuti made from the tough "imbulu" skin. Owen also highlighted the traditional dishes that Charlene and other guests enjoyed during their visit, ranging from "amakwakwata" to "lhisebhebhe."

In his statement, Daddy Owen conveyed his mother's joy at hosting the President's daughter, emphasizing her love for and adoration of visitors in the Ebhusang'ang'a village.

“Ebhusang'ang'a village was happy, my mum was happy, she loves guests…and the guests were happy as well! So, Happy 2024 to y'all,” Daddy Owen concluded his statement.

However, the revelation has left Kenyans in suspense, with many expressing their curiosity and seeking clarification on the nature of Owen and Charlene's relationship.
