President William Ruto is currently chairing the National Steering Committee meeting at the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Headquarters in Nairobi.
Ruto, joined by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and other key UDA officials is expected to lead discussions centering on the party's elections.
The meeting comes months after the ruling Party, UDA postponed its elections from December to April 12, 2024, and later staggered them for another week to April 26.
The meeting is crucial to decide whether to call off the primaries again as there has been a push to cancel the polls and give room for enough time to prepare for the elections adequately.
