Easter is here with us, and with a long weekend comes a lot of cooking, especially for loved ones.
So whether you are playing host, being hosted, or spending this long weekend alone, here are some amazing quick meals you might want to try:
Lamb
This holiday is all about gathering. It could be meeting up with friends, having family time, or being in the church with other members.

Baking
Baking comes out as a fun activity during this short holiday. Most people say baking is hard and chaotic, but the results will never disappoint when instructions are adhered to. One can bake cakes and design them differently, preferably shaping them as eggs. Crossbread and carrot cakes have a special connection to Easter Holidays.
Samosa
This delicacy is tastier when served to a group of people and while eaten amidst laughter and stories. Just like baking, the recipe is more of a fun activity. With the right sauces, samosas will never disappoint.
Eggs
According to the Easter Bunny folklore, one of the gifts carried by the bunny is eggs. Eggs are a symbol of Easter, and having them in your recipes will especially honour the holidays. They could be boiled or fried, but that does not restrict you from trying other recipes.
Pilau
Let’s all be honest, nothing beats Swahili dishes especially when it comes to sharing amazing meals with your family and friends. It is easy to prepare and won’t take up much of your time. All you will need is a side dish of kachumbari and your meal is as good as ready.
Mashed potatoes and meatballs
Mashed potatoes and meatballs is a mouthwatering combo and the time it will take you to prepare it will be all worth it in the end. If you are spending Easter with kids and family, this is a favorable meal as you can bond with them while preparing it.
Chicken Biryani
If you don’t like mashing your food together, how about you try some chicken biryani? Like pilau, it is easy to prepare and your whole family will be licking their fingers when they are done.
