President William Ruto on Thursday officially flagged off the 2024 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), Nairobi.
Speaking during the flag-off, Ruto, clad in full Safari Rally drivers' gear urged Kenyans to turn up in large numbers to support local teams.
He also implored rally spectators to use the opportunity to celebrate the Easter Holiday.
"This is truly a special Easter holiday gift to millions of families to bond over a thrilling spectacle. You really can't find a rally as tough, compelling, beautiful and rewarding as the one in Kenya," said the president.
