Shabana's hunt for their first win of the 2024-2025 campaign will continue after a late goal by Ulinzi Stars deep into stoppage time saw the teams share the spoils after a 2-2 draw in an entertaining FKF Premier League match played at Ulinzi Sports Complex on Sunday.
The Gusii based outfit were not only looking for their first win of the season but also hunting for their maiden win over the soldiers who had won all their meetings prior to the match up.
Last season, Ulinzi edged out Shabana home and away, winning 4-0 and 1-0.
The match started worse for the daring Shabana who found themselves trailing 1-0 five minutes into the match after Stafford Odhiambo found the back of the net for Ulinzi.

Mathew Tegisi however ensured the two teams will go to the break tied at 1-1 after scoring at the stroke of half time.
Tegisi returned to haunt Ulinzi again in the 65th minute when he gave Shabana a 2-1 lead.
With minutes and seconds trickling, Shabana thought they won the game but Peter Wafula had other ideas after netting a last gasp goal to force a 2-2 draw deep into added time.
The draw leaves Shabana 10th without a win but with two points from their two draws so far. The Gusii outfit however have a game in hand against Kenya Police whose match was postponed due to the law enforcers engagement with CFA Confederation Cup that they have since exited.
