It’s official! Kisumu Day High School are back from the dead.
The former Nyanza Region champions will now play Agai Mixed Secondary School in the finals of the 2024 Kisumu County Secondary School Term Two football games set to be replayed at Maseno School on Friday without fans.
This is after Kisumu Day won their appeal against Katolo who had knocked them out of the competition last week in the semifinals.
Last Saturday, Katolo came from 1-0 down to beat heavyweights Kisumu Day 2-1 in extra-time and book their ticket to the finals.
In fact, Katolo played full 90 minutes plus added time against Agai in the finals that were later abandoned with the game tied at 1-1.

However, Kisumu Day appealed the defeat claiming Katolo had fielded an ineligible player.
After investigations were conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, Kisumu Day were given go ahead to play in the finals while Katolo were sent home.
“Kisumu Day has won their appeal against Katolo Mixed Secondary School and will face Agai Secondary School, who also won their appeal against Kisumu Boys. The match is scheduled for Friday at 9:30 am at Maseno School and will be played without fans. The winner will represent Kisumu County at the regional competition in Kisii,” read a statement.
Kisumu Day are the defending champions of Kisumu County and will be seeking a ticket to return back to the Nyanza Region finals where they will be seeking redemption after losing to Agoro Sare High School last year.
