The University of Nairobi Council has insisted on the ouster of embattled Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama.
This comes weeks after the court issued stay orders on filling vacant posts.
Chair Amukowa Anangwe has reiterated that Professor Njoroge Gitau will hold the VC office in the interim. He says defiance will be treated as insubordination.
"Professor Ayub Njoroge Gitau shall continue to serve as the Acting Vice Chancellor, with the full authority of the Council to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to the position," a statement issued on Wednesday, May 22 reads in part.
