Kenya Sevens woes at the World Rugby Sevens Series continued on Sunday evening after finishing last at the Los Angeles Sevens.

Shujaa who are in the relegation zone managed to win only one match in the three-day rugby event in the United States of America.

Kenya who were in Group C alongside Fiji, Japan and Australia started the tournament on the front foot after coming from behind to pull a shocking 12-7 win over Australia.

Fiji then gave Shujaa a reality check after a 19-5 win over the East Africans who now needed a win of any sort to qualify for the Main Cup quarterfinals.

Shocking, Kenya Sevens failed to beat Japan who are bottom in the standings as the Asians pulled a surprise 7-5 win over Shujaa.

The defeat saw Kenya finish third in the standings behind Asutralia and Fiji who progressed.

Relegated to the Challenge trophy, matters went from bad to worse as we continued to lose against lower ranked sides.

Shujaa went down 12-5 to Canada in the ninth place quarterfinals, a lose that saw them relegated further.

Damian McGrath charges lost to USA 26-21 in the 13th place semifinal playoffs, a defeat that will see Shujaa's current rankings slump.

Kenya will now shift their focus to Vancouver Sevens next weekend.
