Good company and calculated play are all that Nekoye Inzaule required to claim the final leg of the seven-leg Old Mutual Golf series at the scenic Karen Golf and Country Club on Thursday club nite sponsored by the financial asset management institution.
Paired alongside her playing partners, Inzaule returned a superb score of 6-under-66 to win the season-ender in style and bag the overall prize that was being contested for by 1189 golfers.
She was the best in Division A, denying William Maiyani the top spot by a single stroke. Maiyani was the overall second-prize winner after carding clubhouse 69 Nett.
The seven-leg series, was hosted at various courses that included, Nyali Golf and Country Club, Kenya Railway Golf Club, and Nyeri Club, before heading to Ruiru Sports Club. It then made stops at Vet Lab Sports Club before winding up at the par-72, Karen layout.
"It is my first time to stand here as the winner. I played on regulation and single put. That did the trick for me." Inzaule said while delivering her speech.
In the same Division, George Muturi returned to the clubhouse with 33 Nett to win Division A, Best First Nine prize, as Atsango Lwande won the Best Second Nine prize upon returning a score of 34 Nett.
In the same Division, Robert Keter was the Gross winner after carding 79 Gross points.
Another 66 Nett score saw Aggrey Mulumbi lift the Division B overall title, with Bob Riaroh settling for Division B, the overall second-winner prize on 69 Nett.
In Division B Nines, Samuel Kamau won the prize First Nine, on 33 Nett Brian Changangu was the Second Nine winner with a better countback score of 33 Nett.
Leading the Guests was Jamleck Chege after firing a final score of four-under- 68.
The Senior prize was won by Samson Kamau, who played level- -par with the junior winner prize, won by Sean Lyomu, who carded 1-over-par-73.
