Brazilian forward Neymar returned to Paris on Saturday after almost three months in his home country as French giants Paris Saint-Germain prepare for their return to football.

PSG will resume training on June 22 and reports said that Neymar could have faced a mandatory quarantine if he arrived after June 15.

Neymar traveled to his homeland in mid-March following the suspension of European football's major competitions because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 28-year-old followed a strict fitness regime while being confined to his mansion in Mangaratiba, near Rio de Janeiro, keeping fans updated with regular videos and photos of his training sessions on social media.

PSG were named France's Ligue 1 champions in May after the season was canceled amid the global health crisis.
