NAIROBI, KENYA: After a busy January transfer window, it’s now time to break down the big winners and losers, as certain clubs definitely fared better than others in the whole transfer business.

According to the figures released by the Kenyan Premier League Limited, an estimated Sh5.1m was spent on players switching clubs; Sh1.3m more than the total amount spent in June 2013 (Sh3.8m). The figure does not include the sign-on fee paid to individual players for making moves or renewing their contracts.

In total, the clubs garnered Sh2.94m from the player sales, shattering last year’s January sales record of Sh2.2m.
