Elders from various communities in Trans Nzoia County have called for a truce between Governor George Natembeya and his deputy Philomena Kapkory.
The elders accused some elected leaders in the area of engineering wrangles between the two county leaders.
They argued that the misunderstanding between Natembeya and Kapkory was politically instigated and out to derail development in the county.
Led by Ferdinand Wanyisia, the elders claimed that some leaders eyeing the Governor's seat are fanning the leadership wrangles at the county to undermine Natembeya's development agenda.
The animosity between the Natembeya and Kapkory they said is threatening peace among communities in the county.
