Machakos Teachers Training College will be a beehive of activity when primary schools converge for their ball games.

The ball games that will involve football, volleyball, netball and handball will see the pupils assemble on September 6-9 for the action that is resuming after a two-year break due to Covid-19 disruption.

However, most of the counties are set to hold their respective games this weekend to select teams for regional games ahead of the national games.

Nandi County Primary Schools Sports Association Secretary Davis Rungut said their county games will be held on Sunday and Monday at Nandi Hills. "All the counties are set to select their teams this weekend and put together teams for the regional games," Rungut said.

At the same time, secondary schools' county games will be held this weekend at different venues.

Embu County games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the University of Embu and Kangaru Boys high school.

Eastern Secondary schools' sports association secretary Elijah Kiarie said the region's games will be held from September 1-3 at the same venues.

Mombasa County games start tomorrow and end on Friday at Shimo la Tewa High School and Shanzu Teachers Training College.

In Kwale county, teams are set to converge at Kinango boys and Vigurungani girls for accommodation arrangements on Thursday before the action starts on Friday through to Saturday at Kinango boys high school.
