Experience was the key factor in the naming the national beach volleyball team players set to travel to Morocco at the weekend for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games qualifiers.

The final men and women squad was named yesterday by the technical team led by coaches Sammy Mulinge and Patrick Owino.

Ibrahim Oduor and Phosca Kasisi were named the respective team captains.

Both men and women teams have been in residential training camp for over two weeks in Mombasa in readiness for the crucial qualifying tournament; and are upbeat about their chances of making it to the planetary games for the first time.

The tournament is set for June 21-28. The women team has Brackcides Agala, Gaudencia Makokha, Yvonne Wavinya and Kasisi.

Men team has James Mwaniki, Brian Melly, Enock Mogeni and Oduor.
